What We Repair
From a single burner that won't light to a complete control board failure, we handle every common oven and range fault on gas and electric models.
Gas Igniter Replacement
A cracked or worn igniter is the #1 cause of a gas oven that won't heat. Wade and Jake carry OEM-spec igniters for virtually every brand and can swap yours out in a single visit.
Surface Burner Diagnosis
Whether you have sealed gas burners that won't light or electric coils/radiant elements that glow unevenly, we trace the fault to the igniter switch, spark module, or element and repair it correctly.
Bake & Broil Element Repair
A burned-out bake element in an electric oven causes uneven cooking or no heat at all. We test draw current on both the bake and broil elements and replace any that have failed or are failing.
Oven Control Board & Thermostat
When your oven runs too hot, too cold, or won't maintain temperature, the culprit is usually a faulty thermostat sensor or a failed control board relay. We diagnose both electronically before recommending any part.
Gas Safety Valve Service
A gas range that smells of gas even when off, or one where the oven won't stay lit, may have a failed safety valve (also called a gas valve or thermocouple). We handle gas-line diagnostics safely and efficiently.
All Major Brands Serviced
We repair GE, Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Kenmore, Bosch, and more. Gas and electric, freestanding and slide-in — same-day service available Monday through Saturday.

Oven & Range Repair FAQ
Why does my gas oven igniter glow but the oven still won't heat?
This is the most common oven complaint we see. The igniter on most modern gas ovens does double duty — it both opens the gas safety valve and lights the burner. When the igniter is weak, it glows but doesn't draw enough current (typically below 3.2 amps) to pull the valve fully open. Gas can't flow, so the burner never fires. Replacing the igniter with a properly rated unit solves this in almost all cases. Wade can test igniter draw current on the spot and replace it in one visit.
My electric oven heats but cooks unevenly — what's wrong?
Uneven baking in an electric oven almost always traces to a partially failed bake element that's lost one of its heating legs, a failing oven temperature sensor (RTD probe) giving incorrect readings to the control board, or a control board relay that's not sending full power. We use a multimeter to test element resistance and sensor resistance — an accurate sensor reads approximately 1,080–1,090 ohms at room temperature. We'll find the fault and correct it.
One burner on my gas range clicks constantly — is it dangerous?
Continuous clicking usually means moisture has gotten into the spark igniter module, or the igniter cap or crown is misaligned after cleaning. It's annoying but generally not dangerous. Dry the burner area thoroughly — a hair dryer works well — and ensure the burner cap is properly seated. If clicking continues, the spark switch or igniter module may need replacement. Our technicians can diagnose and fix this during a standard service call.
How much does oven repair cost in Forney?
Most oven and range repairs in Forney run $75 to $350 depending on the part and complexity. Igniter replacement is typically on the lower end. Control board replacement can be higher. We provide an upfront quote after diagnosis — and the service call fee is waived when you proceed with the repair. Call (214) 440-8550 and we'll give you an honest assessment.
